U2R Design is the trading name of Chris Woods.

U2R was initially a recording and audio production wrapper and record label for a studio facility producing and releasing dance music primarily through independent distributors. Good dance chart success ensued based on solid soulful house and garage productions. Coupled with Chris’s DJ’ing at the time, strong connections were forged with regional nightclubs and promoters. Although initially a sideline, graphic design provided better long term opportunities and soon U2R Design was born producing flyers throughout East Anglia for all the major promoters and clubs at the time including Gatecrasher, Pams House, Kartouche/Zest Nightclub, Distinction,Missile Entertainment and a multitude of smaller independent promoters.

[blockquote align=”left”]Club flyers are something designers produce before they get a real job…[/blockquote]Club artwork is highly enjoyable to produce but to quote “Club flyers are something designers produce before they get a real job ” and so more mainstream design projects were undertaken. More by demand than planning, several clients at the time expressed a need for website creation. At the time, web development was considered a black art and charged for (almost extortionately) by those in the know. This inspired a learning process with a steep curve however it wasn’t long before the first sites were being launched to much praise.

Several years later, websites represent over half of the work undertaken. Much of this is down to the amazing availability of top quality open-source applications, providing as much if not more than commercial software and an outstanding platform for ongoing modification.

Today U2R Design is firmly established as a provider of innovative services and advice to a loyal and satisfied customer base that appreciate personal investment in their companies.
